| 1. What should I do to prepare for my MRI exam?

No special preparation is needed for the exam. Eat normally and take any medications you
usually take. If you are having a Brain MRI, please don't wear any makeup.

| 2. When will I know the results of my exam?
|
|
A detailed report of your procedure and findings will be sent promptly to your physician within 1 business day. Your physician will then contact you to discuss the results. Urgent
results are delivered immediately to all physicians.

| 3. Will I need a referral (prescription) to have an MRI?
|
Yes, your physician must provide a referral for you to receive an exam. In addition, your
insurance carrier may require precertification.

| 4. Who cannot have an MRI exam?
|
|
Although MRIs are remarkable diagnostic tests, they are not right for everyone. Please
tell your technologist if any of the following applies to you:
- pacemaker
- pregnancy
- surgical staples or aneurysm clips
- cochlear implants
- metallic implants
- dental bridges
- inferior vena cava umbrella
- artificial heart valves
- aneurism clips
- hearing aid
- history as metal worker
- shrapnel
- dorsal column stimulator
- relevant history as metal worker

| 5. How long will my MRI exam take?
|
At Wayne MRI, we offer an array of examinations and depending on the type of exam you receive, the procedure typically takes between 30 and 40 minutes. Our technologists
will discuss the specifics of your exam before you begin.
